Henderson Developments
Jim and Christine Waterhouse were raised in Brighton and attended both the local public and high schools. When returning to Brighton from college, Jim and Christine starting dating, and in 1994 were married. Jim, a surveyor by trade, and Christine, working both in a local retail store and the family business, started a family. After having two children, Christine starting working in the family business full time and Jim part time. In 2007, Jim and Christine took over the family business and since then have finished a 16 unit set of townhouses, a 14,000 square foot plaza and started the beginning process of the new Forest Hill subdivision. Forest Hill was a family owned property which years ago were a pasture for the cows to graze in. Jim’s grandmother Sara had set the wheels in motions years earlier with the initial drawings of the subdivision. Christine’s father, Don, retired from owning Henderson’s grocery store (now Sobeys) but was too young to sit still. He started developments such as Daniels Drive, Henderson Lane, Megan Court, Lucas Court and Orland Acres. With development in their genes, Jim and Christine were bound to continue development it was in their roots. Jim is a local Rotarian and Christine has volunteered in the local public school for many years. Henderson Developments believes in keeping the work in Brighton. We use many of the businesses and trades in the surrounding Brighton area. We believe keep it in Brighton and keep Brighton thriving! Henderson Developments has used local trades for many years and have a dependable and quality working team with them. Henderson Developments is a supporter of Community Care Brighton, Brighton Health Clinic, Rotary, Brighton Policing and many other local service clubs.
